Ok first off I'm not saying I wa to do this but...
How hard is it to convert an americanized car (steering wheel on left hand side) to switch the whole around and put it on the right side?
Onther than upholstery changes to the dash.. mechanicly speaking what would one have to do?
Oh and I know it can be done i say a car tonight that it had been done to but I couldn't find the owner to ask him/her.

If its on a 240sx you can use a RHD clip to do the conversion with.

yeah wouldnt you have to like flip half the stuff to the other side of the engine bay?
making a new dash would be a pain in the ass, unless you had a donor car....but if you had that then you could just build up the RHD donor car instead
but the question to me is......why?

This is gonna sound total newbie but what's a clip?
I grew up learning to shift with my left hand. Ever since I was little I have been shifting peop[les cars for them with my left hand. With my auto tranny I steer more with my right hand... but when I drive a stick I have a MUCH harder time shifting and steering. I dunno why it makes sense in my head... I know how to but when I try to shift all heck breaks loose... don't get me wrong I can drive a stick but not very fast or efficently.
Also I recall the mail man's jeep that he drives is like that so that he can pull up easily to the mail box.

then start a new life, as a mail man! (or learn to shift with your left) something tells me you wont find to many RHD mail carries out there that will have parts for your car
a front clip is the whole front of your car (well, the body panels anyway), like the font bumper the left and right fenders the front end (whatever its called), and you can hook it all together bolt bolt it on your car as one humongus piece

ive seen this done many ways a jdm front clip is a smart option but expensive modifing the current platform would require new rack and pinuons from japan a new dash modded or jdm ive seen this done where the american version of the car had the stering wheel moved to the right and used a bike chain mounted in the dash to control the steering colomn which remained on the left now this setup would have to be perfect with absolutely no faults or you could end up going left when you wanna go right the pedals on the other hand might be tricky but a good fabricator can do the job
my reconmodation dont do it and thats from a friend

Nice to know I got a friend on this forum
Well the car I saw was a old classic Jaguar and All in all I figured it'd be costly but I thought it looked amazing.
I don't think I'd do it just for the looks... If it were more functional (which in the US it really isn't) then maybe I'd see what it took.
Well thanks to everyone and their opinions!
