LOL, I'm only 13 rite now, but I'm already working towards my first car which I won't be able to drive in 2 yrs or more....
I'm not sure what first car to get, but I really want a rx-7,silvia,supra,3000zx, or 3000gt. Do any of yuo think any if these r reliable, cheap first cars, or are there any other better choices?

If you want a cheap car, your best bet is to stick with FWD(front wheel drive). Though, you may or may not like it, I tell you that they are reliable. A good example is a Honda Accord and Civic. Those cars are cheap, but it depends on the year too.
Bro I drive a 1994 Mit. Galant. It only costed me $500 and it runs well for a car that is 12yrs old. When i get this car fully customized, hopefully I can get it to run +300hp.

DO NOT pick a 3000GT for your first car. If you want to race with it the car will feel heavy. Some people will hate me for saying it but it's true.

Your probably not going to want to hear this but getting a turbo car, or fast car for your first car is a good recipe for disaster. Besides you have to learn on a crappy car before you get a nice car, and you do not want a maintenance needy turbocar for a first car.

I knew a kid who drove like a maniac in his RS EClpse with an exhaust. Swore he was speed racer or Paul Walker or something. He would floor it through crowded movie theatre lots, pull the ebrake and do donuts, fwd drift on crowded roads, and drove like an absolute [censored]. His name was Harley.

Harley died less than a mile from my house on January 2nd, 2006. It was also not far and on the same road where I had a bad accident that totaled my miata, just 9 months before his fatal accident.

He Was going too fast in the rain at 2am in the morning, came upon a turn, flipped it, was ejected, and then hit by another car, body unrecognizable. Natural Selection was determined to be the actual cause of death.

Same will happen to you, if you start with any of the turbo versions of those cars you came up with. I suggest getting a civic and learning how to correctly drive and correctyl maintain one of these, before moving up to a turbo anything. And hold onto that civic til your atleast 19 or 20 before getting a turbo car, only then might you have enuff knowledge and driving experience to start working with a turbocharged car.

Fast Turbo cars need respect from there owners which I dont think a 13 year old thats learned everything about cars from video games could give, or you will wind up wrapping it around a telephone pole with you inside. Ive seen it happen before.

Lol, I didn't learn any of this stuff from games. I learned it from drivers. I'm not planning to get the turbo version of any of these cuz they will be too fast, and too costly. I was looking at price ranges and all of them r kinda expensive. I couldn't find anything good for under 12k,which is how much I'll probably have when i'm 16. I'm thinking about a celica with a few mods externally, dont need mods to make it go faster at 16. Do u know any cars under 12k that r good for a first car?

OK, everyone's gonna make fun of me, but.... I have a 2001 KIA Rio. 1.5L NA flat four making 96HP. With a 5 speed tranny, it has plenty of pickup for a first vehicle, and mine's been good to me. It costed $8900 spankin' new, and so far Besides tires and oil I've had to replace the clutch ($300) and the valve cover gasket due to a leaky oil ring($128). I drive this car like a rape date, and still it hasn't let me down coming up on 100k miles. The '06 model year starts at around $13k and has been upgraded to 105HP. I'm older than you, but full coverage on that car is only $75 a month from American Family. The donsides are you'll never be able to mod it, and by the time you're ready for something else the car will have little value. Until then, you'll enjoy the 35 MPG (and I drive like gas was free) and the low maintainence.

PS I forgot, To maintain the 100k warranty you'll have to get a comprehensive tuneup at 30, 60, &90 thousand miles, and they run about $500 at the dealer, but less at a regular mechanic. At least the 60k tuneup (the only one I got) ran that price, but they replace the timing belt which requires extensive teardown, so the others may be cheaper.

Yea,
I heard Kias were really reliable cars.
And if your engine is broke, they replace it with another brand new engine, for free. But I wouldnt buy one because there arent many part for em, and i just dont like the look.
But. they good cars.

yeah, aftermarket= 0, but for the reliability is OK. Plus you can drive with your foot to the floor most of the time, so it seems faster than it is. The steering responds well too. It can carve a 360 in 13 feet.

The stories of friends dying in freak accidents happens all the time in Orlando, Fl. You have my condolences from me. That was something i had forgot to mention when i said to get a 4cly like a Civic. I don't want to sound like someone's parent or some whacked out driving instructor ,but you must start out small before you move on to stuff that requires more experience.
My dream, at your age, was to own a 2000 Mitsubishi FTO. But for me to own such a thing, I needed tons of driving lessons before i reached the point of owning one. Now i and still driving a 94 galant and i refuse to give it up now that i have been through a whole lot with the car. Now i wish to customize that car into a race machine (not to race illegally).

I own a kia 2002 spectra 1.8. I hav since done some     engine mods: 81mm Big Trottle Body, Cat Black Exhast, Cold Air Intake, Colt Cams Stage II,  KUK's Modified ECU,  Lightened Crank Pulley,  Stage II Clutch,  T8D Header, performace.     Suspension: Rear Sway Bar, Strut Bar,  Eibock Streetpro     Body: waiting on the II Hatch Buddy Club Kit for my hatchback, Wheels:SPEEDY Hyper Fang Chrome. So to say that customing a Kia is impossible, how about checking out www.kia-fx.com or www.streetkiaz.com

You couldnt find any turbo cars for under 12000??? Jeez, you must not be very good at it or something. I found my MR2 Turbo which will smoke most peoples cars on this board for like $2850, however Ive sunk $4000 into it since then, but still, nearly half of $12000.

Drivers? Yea, drivers are everywhere, technically. You should see my idiot friend Jerry, technically hes a Driver, but he drives like a maniac.

A celica with "external mods" wud be gay. External mods are gay, bodykits, neon lights, underglows, wings, altezza lights, all that stuff is just pointless stuff to waste your money on. If you want to have a respectable import, I suggest keeping a stock body, atleast that way it wont bottom out on driveways and crack when you hit rocks than if you had a bodykit front end, and you can put all your money into much more important stuff - LIKE THE ENGINE! Besides celica's are FWD for the most part - bad for racing platform ,the 5sfe motor they come wtih has no where near the tuning potential that my 3sgte has.

Heres what I suggest for getting a good 1st car, get a miata. There cheap, there rwd and convertible which is fun, they have one of the turbo friendliest engines of naturally aspirated cars and can be cheap to tune and maintain, and learn how to drive off of. Like I said, they can easily be turbocharged and you might even learn how to work on cars if you tried doing a turbo setup on one of these. And there low powered enuff that you wont kill yourself while learning how to drive, you can practice auto-x, drag, drift truly a great beginners and experienced drivers car.

AND DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON EXTERNAL MODS!!!

Hey, I stand corrected, for all my googling I couldn't find that kiafx.... That said, I drive a 1st gen rio. For a couple thou, plus the loss of my vehicle for a while to send them parts off it, I could gain about 25 HP. That would be a whopping 121 HP on the crank, and it's still a front driver. Maybe if I had a tiburon, I'd spend money on it, but that's the only hyndai/kia that I peronally think is worth tuning. Anyway, as for the first car thing, I think a Miata is a great idea!
