Whats up? I've had my civic for over 2 years now and have just found a good deal on a 93 eclipse GSX. Its got 77K miles on it and its had one adult owner whos maintained it well. Do they make a lot of parts for this car? I've looked and not found very many, but maybe I'm not looking in the right places. Also, with so many miles, am I going to have to expect a lot of trouble with the turbo and performence of the car? Thanks for the help, peace.

Well, going from a Civic to a GSX is a big jump forward in performance. First off, before I go into detail about these cars, know that a 77k mile one owner 1st generation DSM is a rare find. You may think 77k miles is high, but it seems that on average all of these cars have around 120-150k on them already. So, if it's for a good price, I'd pick it up definetly.
Alright, turbo DSMs are powered by the Mitsubishi 4G63 four cylinder. It's one of, if not THE stoutest four cylinder engines ever made. It's the same engine found in the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution series, and the Galant VR4. Needless to say, they make TONS of parts for these cars. But thats not the best part..... you can go fast with these cars........for cheap. Pretty much, for a thousand dollars or so, you can be keeping up with LT1 Camaros and the like. Pretty damn good, IMO. I own two of these cars, a 1990 Eagle Talon TSi AWD, and a 1992 Plymouth Laser RS Turbo AWD. I love both of them, and wouldn't trade them for any other sport compact.
