Cool. I still love muscle cars. (Easy to work on.) But I just love how imports make so much power for engines that are so small for there liter size. You can get so much power with the right mod parts.

Alright, let me say this, I think that imports aren't all about speed and power or flashy body mods. and neon. Its WHATEVER YOU FREAKIN WANT IT TO BE!!!! Now I'm not saying I like it when i see some wannabe rolling in some ill atempt at a car, but if thats what he likes, then thats his deal and I'll let him be! I really like body mods AND speed mods (I think they go hand in hand) but that dude from Japan was right, there are some crazy looking cars that seem only fit for the showroom that can blow your doors off in a drag. But hey man, to each his own and thats where I leave it.

I can agree with that. And Eclipse is right. I, myself, would use that term towards the people that are all show and no go and still front as if they are all un-defeatable street legends. It's horrible. But yeah, everyone has to start somewhere, and to each his own.

Yes, But I do like body mods. I think of cars as canvas man, just canvas. (And the engine as canvas too )

I think the road is a canvas, and tires are great painbrushes. And just to add to the terminology, my dad (who is 50) often calls imports "rice grinders" and tells me how the engines are going to explode because of the compression/high rpm. He doesnt hate imports or anything he just thinks they they are for rowdy teenagers only. As far as body mods go, I believe speed speaks for itself mostly, and a few well done mods are all a car needs. Because really, no matter what cheesey muffler the guy next to you put on, and no matter how many new body panels he has installed, leaving him in the dust is the loudest message of all.

We do nt really use the term ricer here. In actual fact 90% of guys out here wouldn't even know what the term implies. Having said that we have guys here that are all show and no go. We call them houties or pimps.  Here things get a bit serious on the set. We have more guys like myself that have mild visual mods and major performance mods. Here it is about performance, looks are a distant second. Let me put it to you this way, if you are on set and you chalenge someone and your car is just body kit and nothing else, you will loose all street cred and then no one will race you period! It does not matter if you rock up the next day with a skyline or EVO or supra or STi whatever, you will be left out completely. Here its all about street cred and respect.
That also applies to our legal races for the most part.
