Despite the increased maintanence and fuel costs of a turbo car, there is one thing you can almost always depend on them for. A nice little ego boost, when u totally obliterate someone thats not even in your league. Ive had my car for less than a week, its been a couple of months since I had to wait on paychecks before I could save up enuff dough to repair it, but I finally got a kill in tonight.
I pulled up to a stop light, and a little red Sentra SEr Spec V was revving next to me. I just hooked up my boost gauge, and turned up the boost, to the tune of 17 psi. We both got to a normal roll, I didnt want to go from a dig becuz Im breaking in a new SPEC stage 2 clutch.
ANyways, I dropped it into 2nd at about 3200 rpms, right at the sweet spot for the ct26/3sgte. I let him hit it first, and he got about a car, then I played reel in. By the time I had gotten up to 5500 rpm in 2nd, I had not only left him a buslength behind, but I was pulling away so fast, the race was already over, Keeping in mind that it only takes 2 seconds for me to go from 3200-5500 in 2nd.
I decimated the poor little Nissan SeR Spec V so bad, he never pulled back up to me to rev his tiny NA 4 at me. It was a great moment for me and the ducer, and made me glad Ive dumped so much money into it, finally. Too bad this kill means nothing since his car wasnt even in the same league to begin with Turbo4>NA 4.

^^ Notice his screen name is different? We're familiar with sirscrotum1. Same guy, yeah, just an interesting fact, what happened to the old account?
But yeah, I've heard scrotum say he did stuff in the past he wouldn't now, I guess this is one of them.

Sorry for this post guys I am a bit embarassed by it now at this point in time, this was made when I first got a turbo car and was just experiencing its power.
That car got totaled from street racing. I dont street race anymore, I dont even cruise in that part of town where the race described went down anymore because I am older and wiser and know not to do unwise things such as what is described above.
Ok, I admit, that the occaisonal highway race goes down as I know I mentioned getting smoked by a c6 zo6 in my 2.2 stroker thread, but the car in this story was totaled from street racing on a road that was not a highway, which is much more dangerous.
Generally speaking, I discourage this type of behavior and find it is A LOT cheaper/safer in the long run just to do it at a safe sanctioned track.
Sorry if it appears I endorse street racing in this post, I have changed ever since I totaled the car.
Whenever you street race, whatever legal rights you had, go out the window.

everybody makes mistakes. i didnt read the date when i replied. i have a paralized friend in washington who wrecked while he was street racin. i try to go to the drags when i can. im tryin to fight for a real street racetrack. the closest one to my town that i know of is texas motor speedway and its only open to the public twice a year. if anybody knows where to find a streettrack in oklahoma please tell me. i miss racin but i dont miss the danger.
