hey guys, i currently own a 93 dodge stealth (SOHC 3.0 V-6) and the car is a fast car..but not the 0-60. My main problem is that from a stop my stealths acceleration is pretty sluggish, but once im already going i can get to higher speeds pretty quick. Now im lookin for a new (cheap) car and im not sure what to go with.
Im just looking for a car that will have a quicker 0-60 (for drag races once in a while :P) im looking at a Civic SI, Acura Integra, or a turbo eclipse/talon. If you guys have any suggestions towards a car that would be better, or a out of those which is the best, it would be greatly appreciated. would also like to know which is best stock and after aftermarket preformance mods. Thanks.

If you have about 30 to 40k to put into it the civic or integra could be great like spankin vipers great (ive seen it happen) but i think ur best bet would be the eclpise/Talon nothing lower than a gs-t though cause non turbo eclipses arent the best.

Well my budget will prolly be around 4-5k to buy a car. so the only thing ill be able to do for a while is ride it stock with a few simple mods like maybe a new intake and exhaust. so in that case a turbo talon or eclipse would be my best bet for a quick off the line car? i was also lookin at an integra type R or GSR but more likely than not thats alittle too rich for my blood and harder to find.

Well first you should establish a budget, cause there are a lot of cars out there that are cheap. They may be really old but perfect power plants. 86-90 Supra 300ZX Eclipse GS-T no GSX they have issues and power split not the best. 240Sx KA24De is actaually a nice engine when turboed and can dbe done for cheap. It all depends on what you want to deal with wether a newer car with less power but a older car with decent power and few problems....
