save up for an sr20det engine i know its what everybody is doing but it is the best bet for any 240 the ka24 which came stock in the 240s is kinda shitty im not saying theyre bad just not the best but a couple bolt ons for now should be fine once u get the sr20 possibilities are endless. Trust me i know.

well as i have said countless times before my 240 for some reason came with nonturboed sr but an sr non the less but as for ur car there is a great example of what KAs can do in an issue of IT a couple months ago if uwant to check that out but as for performance if u have the money and resources to swap do it if not there are a couple decent turbos for the KA (turbonetics its is the best by far u can keep the A/C)as for the looks thats up to you and ur budget again

well if your going with sr20 there are some things that you have to consider. Realisticly its going to be about 3700 total after you put it in. Mostly for preping your motor to work perfectly with your car. Such as buying a new radiator, to meet the new cooling capcity. Getting a new clutch, thought the engines are low miles a new clutch is always a good idea, drifting, and you dont want to put the motor in and find your clutch is shot. Other things include spark plugs, chekcing the oil pan for dents. And you could get a new intercooler, though its not needed. Theres a good site you could check out called Heavy Throttle, its got motors in good condition there for sale, and theyll give you an idea of what your standerd should be when choosing your motor, which is usefull if you decide to go with a risky buy, like ebay ect. If you have any questions just ask ive reasearched this quite extensively...

Hey KA's arent that bad there are a few ppl that just DET them and they do run pretty well, their only advantage is that .4L of displacement, its probably wiser to look into turboing the KA first and then decide how much you really want to spend before going SR,because SR parts are not easily had

ok out of all the thing u can get out of wit a cop is an engine like the sr i wouldnt be worried unless your dumb enough to get caught racin it and as long as this common and legal engine swap has all the right papers and ehaust mods(not that hard to do) and u have it smog tested then no problamo and the pig cant do squat
