yeah i got a 1990 Ford Probe and i was wondering what i should do to it first, something small like exhaust or something  

Why don't you sit down and think of what kind of project car you are trying to build. Is it gonna be a dragster/street, drifter, or a track car( which I sorta doubt). Take in account if you are gonna use it as a daily driver. I'd say why not do some suspension mods to get some better handling, do the exhaust, maybe do some engine work.
