I say import...for me it's about having a car that may start out looking like nothing special...just your average daily driver...but one that has the potential with a little time and money to be a show stopper. For me an import as opposed to a muscle car has the potential to be one of those cars that you say..."damn I didn't expect that" for me its about the unexpected suprise...its about saying I have a Honda Civic and people not expecting much and then watching their reaction when they see it.

Both. Why, you ask? Because I can.
Seriously, I appreciate cars- period. I could really care less who makes them and where they might come from. I drive a 400+WHP MR2, but I'm planning on buying a new GTO. People who are blindsided completely by brand or manufacturer loyalty are merely limiting themselves. There's much more out there to enjoy than just ONE company, be it import or domestic.
Speed and power are a mix of mostly three factors: money, motivation, and time. How fast do you want to go and how broke do you want to be when you get there?

I completely agree. it kinda...irks me when people say "suggest a car to me, but it has to be an import" why limit your search only to imports? it's stupid...

I totally agree. Narrowmindedness like that can really take you away from some great cars.

Maybe it's just me but I thought we were talking about muscle cars versus imports..why does it seem like the coversation has shifted to American cars versus imports..did I miss something...although a muscle car is a American car it does not define all American cars. MidNite could you please set me straight. Thanks buddy.

There's no comparison between a muscle car and an import. If we're going to re-hash the Import vs. Domestic thing again (for the millionth time already), we have to compare apples to apples, not oranges, pears, or grapefruit.

Was this not a ? before or am i stupid? i like both, the older cars have that raw power, and the imports are just more fun to drive. we are the new "hot rod" generation,we are doing what a parents did back in the day. so i have to go with both

This is nonsense. If you have a nice looking and performing car, girls will come to see it/ride in it whether it's an import or domestic.

I am still confussed...what exactly are we comparing here...if you read through the thread it's like we are working from a few different definitions...muscle vs import, American vs import, domestic vs sport compact..MidNite, what are we talkin about cause I for one am lost.
