Front License Plates..

why us?
I'm not trying to start a debate over whether or not we should have front license plates, thats not my point. The thing that gets me is the selective enforcement. after I got a ticket for not having a front plate, (the only thing I was pulled over for) I started to look around. it seems like every bimmer or benz / high end vehicle is without a front plate. hell, corvettes dont even have the option to install a front plate. so why is it that we get pulled over instead of them. the cop didnt check my exhaust or open the hood, they just wanted to hassle me about the front plate just to make a point.
if i had a dollar for every car i see with a euro front plate or decorative emblem plate, (or no plate at all) i guess i would be able to afford a car that wont get me pulled over.

what state do you live in? I'm guessing its one where you need a front plate?

some states need them, others dont.
i live in IL which needs them, but i have never ran them, i just keep them in my car handy, usually i get out of the ticket when i show them i have the front plate. currently im running a fire fighter plate now, and havent had any issues since i got the FF plate.

Just to point something out. The corvettes, the ones from the mid 90s can have a front plate. There is a cover that says corvette on the bumper that can be poped off.
I have nevered lived in a stated that requires front plates. I have lived in KY, TN, and now NC. You got to love the south.
You could always make a citizens arrest next time you see a high end vehicle with out a front plate. That or become a vigilante.

hah, i guess i should just move to the south. anywhere that doesnt require motorcycle riders to wear helmets probably wouldnt care about busting me for not have a front license plate.
