That speed is alright. Could be ALOT faster though. Most stock v8's will smoke that car. Also they would be a hell of alot faster with turbo...

if someone put as much time and money into say a newer camaro or a 84-96 corvette, they would smoke you.

I'm not saying thats slow, but its not the fastest car out like you imply. You can do so many inexpensive little things to a small block chevy that can make it very powerful. The drivetrains in corvettes, even for mid 80's, are still top notch. And im pretty sure in autocross they perform exceptionally well. I've seen a couple almost stock ones out perform cars like yours consistantly. Gas mileage isnt that bad with tuned port injection and they are very driveable. The corvettes also weigh about where you're at , even with a heavy SBC.

Hey Sir, Glad to see you got the new setup going after the horrid end to the last one. Just a quick off subject, why didn't you reinstate your old account? The username was the same and the password was your registered email addy. I know that wasn't made clear when they switched the boards.

I feel ya man!!!!! if ur budget allows it i would efinetly try some carbon fiber; imean u can get cf anything. give it a thought..............
