Hi Guys, I'm looking for mods for my geo tracker so I can start feeling the power my ride has to offer. I can't find many turbo parts for my tracker. Any helps?
Also..who makes ground effects and lowering kits for these?

unless your wanting to kill yourself i would advise against racing a minivan, the 2.5L turbo only puts out 142hp, that about the same as my 1990 2.2L N/A Legacy. the wieght and very high center of gravity along with poor handling are a mix for disaster. todays Caravan 2.5L N/A makes 150hp
i dont think theres much you can do with your tracker performance wise, they were made for economy, and its going to be hard and expensive to make it anything else

Thanks for the great advice guys but I'm convinced that I can get a low 11 second traker with pretty much bolt ons. A kid at my night school has one of those vans and he always wants to race my tracker. I know better though. He told me he puts nitrogen in his tires so that it handles better and it's faster. That kind of scares me becuase it would probably make him do things he wouldn't normally do. I told him I would run him after I get a cold air intake and exhaust. I'll probably scare him when I do a 4-wheel drive burnout through 3 gears.
Thanks, Devon

I'm not sure you know what you are talking about. You seem like a nice guy but maybe you have been reading too much on the internet about trackers. Have you ever driven one? What kind of car do you drive that only runs mid twelves? The retarded guy that lives next me says his Pontiac Grand Am runs high twelves with just a flowmapper? muffler and a body kit. He's been to the track a bunch of times. I'll be looking for you after I get my mods done.
Thanks, Devon

ive seen my friends 600+ hp r34 GT-R smoke all four tires... and I'm not on crack. but its highly unlikely to accomplish this in a Geo. but if he wants to mod his tracker, let him figure it out for himself. to each his own.
personally I wouldnt put money into it. just look for a factory turbo car, or even a n/a rear wheel drive car and start from there. its just more logical. there is no way to make your geo that fast... period.
nitrogen is used in tires since it doesnt expand and contract as easily as air. this means the pressure remains more consistant with varying temperatures. you dont have to worry about hot and cold tire pressures. its more of a safety issue than speed.
as for the third gen MR2 - this is my favorite car ever produced hands down. Ive owned a 93 for 6 years and loved every minute. They can handle lots of power and can be very fast.
BUT, they were not made to drag race. Mid engine rear wheel drive, light weight... they were given the ingredients to turn very well.
but like i said earlier, to each his own. in the end its your car, do with it what you want. my only point is, dont push someone in a different direction with your own opinions. good luck to all.

Geotrackerboy, "Thanks for the great advice guys but I'm convinced that I can get a low 11 second traker with pretty much bolt ons." Are you being sarcastic?!?
You came here to get advice on your Geo and how you can "mod" it. The best members of the forum gave it to you and you just refused it.. Geoboy, Ill tell you now, that i agree with what the others said, but if you want to waste 10 grands trying to get in the 15s, go ahead.

"The best members of the forum gave it to you and you just refused it"
I appreciate the advice but just because they are the best members on some internet forum does not mean I need to take it. Thanks for your input. I am a little confused though. How could the best members only have mid 12 second cars? Like they said, a stock C6 runs that. Why not just by a C6 if you can't get more out of your car like I plan too? I plan on showing you guys up. I'm looking into getting nitrogen for my tires next week and I'm starting to build my cold air intake tonight after school tonight. I'm old school so I will probably make most of parts myself.

i have never seen the term "ricer" taken to this extent before at most you might possibly get 10-15hp out of your custom intake, and like said, nitrogen is a saftey thing, little to do with performance
my car runs 15sec in an 1/8 mile, im not sure but i would geuss like 17-20 in the 1/4mile, it would take a few thousand dollars just to get it running 14sec 1/4 runs, you cant do 11sec in the 1/4 with a CAI when your car is starting out with that little of power and wasnt designed to make power
buying and building a car have nothing in common, a built MR2 that runs with a C6 will still cost not even half the C6 depending on how much you paid for it to start with, its also because people like ot build cars to go fast, its a challenge, its what these people enjoy doing, not something they do because they cant afford a better car, theres alot of pride in it, you can say "I built this!", what are you going to say with a C6? "I bought this!"

I just found this forum and I can't believe what I'm reading...
I've always been a fan of the smaller utility vehicles due to their flexibility and performance capabilities (i.e. horsepower/weight ratio). I've owned a Sidekick for the better part 6 years now doing the offroad thing. Now I'm converting it to be a street racer just so I can prove a point to all the "ricers" with the big wings.
To the guy that has a lot to say but won't reveal his name... It appears that you've got some experience with developing a machine for drag racing, but reading closer it seems that you're really good at regurgitation.
For the other guys, I've seen some pretty amazing things at the track. An F-350 turbo diesel pushing propane will surprise you off the line and at the finish line while you're admiring his tail lights.
If a guy is looking for advice on how to make his ride faster, help him rather than ridicule hime.
I'll get off my soap box now.
