I'm not sure, yet pretty sure......That no one use's this car? I'v digged hole's in sites looking for a nice body kit plus parts, Because I have already purchased one thinking it would be a nice tuner. I'm new to all this coming from a hot rod to a 2nr. so please any help about 00 Hyundai Accent GL 4dr. Would be great! If i can get this project started, I'm hoping to start a import shop up in my town here since they are NO import shop's within the limits here. All information can be sent to: Bad_boyzz8769@hotmail.com Thanks, WiR

As far as driving every day it wont be. Where i'm currently working i drive a work truck. I dont go out much ( that is here in my town at the moment ) but when I do go I am always at the import scene, or the Big Truck's. and its usually on flat black top with no bust's or such around it. i have the cash to drop n this car an heavily modify it, due to the fact i'v just sold a94 dodge pace truck #1 on dash, it was lowered with 18's on it low pro'd, turbo charged, with all your lighting work's you can possably find. I let it go for around 19g. Then i'vrecently sold a 04 F350 Dually long wheel base full 4 door, with some custom tweek's to the motor and a grill insert. it went for around 28-30g cant honestly remember. So money isnt a object to me and if worse comes to worse i think i could get my grande father to sponser so much a yr/month/week or w/e. The Accent i drove ran very nice an fast, it wasnt slow by no mean's. You'd have to watch the dash or you'd be running 80+ with no prob. But i cat say much due to the fact i came from street lethal muscle to the import scene :P.

Hyundai Accent GL is a sweet car. I still drive my mom's to night school classes. I beat an older RX7 with it a few weeks ago. I think it was mostly because I can drive better but I did make a few mods to the Hyundai. I have a cold air intake that I made from an old handheld leaf blower and I also hollowed out the cat(my mom doesn't know). I'm thinking of running NOS on it but I have to hide it from my mom. Good luck with your build.

The suspension can be set up fairly nicely on these cars. I have a 2001 Accent GL. Independent front and multilink rear. Whiteline makes a bunch of suspension components for the vehicle. Also, Mitsubishi sold the casts for the motors to Hyundai, so basically any motor from the Mitsu lineup can be swapped into the Accent. Alot of people dont know it though.
Also in the Elantras and tiburons, the 2.0 is the exact same motor as the Eclipse and EVO8. And surprisingly almost same Cams! So if you want to make a DD Sleeper. Id suggest you obtain a 2000-2001 Accent, Swap a Elantra 2.0 into it (will run you about 400bucks) and get the turbo setup from a Eclipse, and your set. Also on the bright side, the ECU is a Bosche Modtronic ECU. Carbon copy of the ECU's that Volkswagon uses. So the tuning can be fairly simple.
