I have a 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse for sale.  I am selling it because I'm growing out of the look. I am installing power mirrors and a new door handle on the passenger side and will include a Drift body kit free with the car. I also have a 15" Kicker L5 and a 1600w Hifonics mono amp with a Pioneer 670MP headunit. I think its worth close to $7,000 with all the mods and stuff I'm throwing in. It only has 68,500 miles on it and was just in the shop getting routine maintenance like timing belt and water pump replaced. Keep out an eye for me, its a great project car, just costing me too much money.  Please PM me.

scratch the mustang off your list unless your gonna run R-Compount tires at the track.  Without them the car won't grip.  I'd go with the Miata.  The compression is low enough to boost on stock internals, and theres an infinite number of suspension components.  Also when people laugh at you for driving a Miata you can put them to shame with under 200whp.  I read that the power to weight ratio on a Miata with 230whp is the same P/W/R as a Z06 corvette, so 200whp is a hell of a punch.

Yeah, a miata is one of the best alround balanced cars for racing at the track.

get a 1st or 2nd gen eclipse gst or gsx depending on what you wnt(fwd or awd) there are a *** load of aftermarket parts for them and also very cheap compared to other cars! the best thing about them is they have 4g63 which likes POWER!!!! ive had a 95 gst for about a year and dynoed at 312.4 hp and 288.6 torque and that with the stock t-too small turbo at 15psi.

The Honda S2000 is a great pick if you want to have fun both on and off the track, but if you are looking for an AWD, I would suggest getting a 99 Subaru WRX! Both picks are great and fun to drive.

AH, your right. Oh well. It doesn't hurt to get our input in. Even if it is 2 years later!
